Now that Manny has taken two months of our time to eventually sign a contract that hasn’t changed over that period, I’m ready to get a good night’s sleep tonight.  No more will I have to worry that he’ll miss out on other bogus offers from mystery teams.  No more will he have to worry about where he’ll be Manny next season.  And the Dodgers?  Well now they’ll know that they made it clear to the baseball world they need an aging moron in left field to have a relevant franchise.  Even with Manny, I heard a few analysts today pick San Fran or Arizona based on pitching alone.  As far as I’m concerned, if Ramirez doesn’t hit 45 homers and drive in 130 runs, the deal is a bust.  Regardless, Joe Torre gets stuck with having to deal with Man Ram for at least another year when, at the time, Manny will opt out of his contract and create all of this drama once again.
