On Our Mind: April 6, 2009

  • Where’d the Big East go?  Since the “best conference in the country” had three one seeds and about six legitimate teams available to make it to the Championship, I was expecting just that.  However, it looks like the Big Ten and ACC are proving why they are the best two conferences in the country.  Tell me I’m wrong.

Scott says:

  • Opening Day is such a tease. There is such a buzz and an excitement built around the early April beginning of the season. Then it all dies down. I’m not saying people stop caring. It’s just funny to me how excited people get for opening day, only to realize that there are 161 more games. I have nothing against baseball, but please excuse me if opening day doesn’t have quite the thrill for me as it does some people. To me, opening day gives us the start of baseball, which is great, but it is also the beginning of seeing 27 homeruns a day on SportsCenter.
