-Some of these overlooked players have their teams making impressive playoff showings.
Linked on Football
-A list of some pretty good players who were once undrafted free agents.
-Comcast might be ready to pull the plug on the NFL Network.
Linked on Baseball

-Free agents who have started out hot.

Top Jerseys, Playoff Disappointment, All Rookies
It is amazing how Allen Iverson is still fifth in jersey sales. Really? After this year’s fiasco, people still believe in this guy? Another notable one on the list is Nate Robinson at #9. Come on people, this guy is an average player with a huge head! I’m attributing this it being New York, at least I hope so.

Jersey Changes, Favre Released, Draft Recap
I am always intrigued when teams change their uniforms. The funny thing is that the majority of people are never happy about the change, at first. After a few years, people seem to get used to it. 49ers fans seem to like their change.

Greinke is Good, 37 Strikeouts, MLB Economy
It is somewhat weird to me that people didn’t realize Zach Greinke was good at the start of the season. Am I missing something here? I’m not going to say I’ve followed his whole career, but the last couple of years he has been the “ace” of the Royals staff right? So, while his start has been sensational, I agree with the author that people should have expected him to be at least good. This isn’t that far out.

Hockey Down South, Goalie Matchup, Biron Opinion
The article below shows a quote basically taking a shot at hockey in the south. My reaction is who cares where the team is located? You can’t tell me that people in Carolina are any less hockey fans than those in LA or even St. Louis. Just because they are located down south doesn’t mean they don’t care. It just seems like a pretty useless comment to enrage random people.
Linked on Hockey
-A good goalie matchup between Vancouver and Chicago.
-Marty Biron endorsing a unfavorable impression of Sidney Crosby
Sorry Chauncey, Artest Interview, Ring Auction
I admit this is a homer post, but it isn’t irrelevant. I completely agree with the letter to Chauncey. Although, I will stand strong that I never wanted to see this team broken up after another loss in the Eastern Conference Finals last year so I’m not really sorry personally. I’m sorry that Pistons fans didn’t realize what they had and demanded a new team. Well, that new team was old, childish, and just plain brutal to watch. At least we Pistons fans can now enjoy the rest of the playoffs without the pressure. (P.S. Go Nuggets!)

-Former Bulls guard auctioning off Championship Ring after declaring bankruptcy
NFL Network Fun, Superdome Staying, Impact Rookies
Oh, NFL Network and cable companies. It is surprising to me how these discussions seem to come up annually. NFL Network realizes that they can’t get people to watch if they don’t make a deal with these people right? Well, some people seem to really like NFL Network so this could make people sad. To me, it never really struck me as anything special. The only time I think about it is when they decide to throw a game on there meaning I can’t watch it.
Linked on Football
-NFL Network and Comcast Arguing like a married couple
A-Rod, Rich Hill, Ballpark Factors
I’m the one who usually complains about how much coverage the Yankees get, but am I the only one who gets a kick out of seeing A-Rod get bad press? It’s not that I ever really hated A-Rod, I just never liked him. He always came off pretty arrogant. So, let’s keep talking about the steroid thing shall we?
