Lane Kiffin Putting Up Billboards
I’ll believe it when it actually happens, but oh boy this could get good!
Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin announced plans for an advertising plan last week while addressing his audience at the SEC football media days. More specifically, he said a “billboard will be going up” in Florida next month.
He’s been given a lot of crap since becoming UT’s coach, but this is pretty awesome. Don’t get me wrong he clearly is insane, and I would never want him as MY coach. Still, from an outsider perspective you have to love the antics. My favorite of the authors ideas is this one:
Suppose UT loses by a lopsided margin to the Gators this September. Monday’s billboards in Florida and LA could read: “We need help. Are you man enough to Volunteer?”
Zebras Are Dangerous
This is just an unusual story that any reader of our site should be aware of. A zebra bit a Pittsburgh State football player costing him the season. Wow, I never saw myself posting about a Pittsburg State player.

Texas LB Should “Probably” Pay Attention
A text here, a text there, what’s the harm? Well, if you’ve ever tried it you know it is probably more dangerous than eating, drinking, or changing the radio while driving. Texas LB Sergio Kindle was involved in a car accident. Not a normal accident, he drove his car into an apartment building. The story itself isn’t funny, although nobody being hurt helps in the hilarity. The best part is this quote from Kindle’s attorney, Brian Roark.
“It was probably something he should not have been doing,” Roark said.
I’m glad he clarified that for us all.
Paulus: Luckiest Kid Ever

Greg Paulus had a pretty solid career at Duke. He was the starting poing guard for three years and led a top 10 team in the nation every single year. He was also able to get a four year degree while doing so. While this is enough good fortune for almost anyone, it doesn’t stop there. Today, Paulus announced that he’ll be enrolling at Syracuse University for graduate school AND playing football this coming fall. Read more
Former Nebraska QB, Keller, Suing EA
Former Nebraska quarterback, Samuel Keller is suing EA for using his likeness in their highly popular NCAA Football game. It seems as if he is not a huge fan of being beat up in virtual form. I’m not sure where the argument comes from. According to Keller, he thinks it is a little unfair how his likeness is so realistic. He also claims that his likeness is a very important thing. More on this after a quote Read more
